When all else fails – make something felted. It’s interesting the different effects you get when using different type yarns. Cascade 220 makes a nice, well-behaved felt – I threw the green pair in the washer with some towels and they ended up attracting towel lint – you are SUPPOSED to put them inside a zipped pillow cover and maybe some other things like jeans or towels added to the load to help the felting process – but I was being lazy and just tossed them all in together. Loose. (That’s bad – the fluff that comes off the yarn can actually clog up your washer – so don’t do as I do.)
The towel lint wears off, but it doesn’t make for a nice tidy photo-shoot of the freshly finished clogs.
The other pair are made from Paton’s Classic Wool, and they came out real fluffy. . . and too small. Oy. I forgot to check them. Timers are a good thing. Remembering to use one even better.

I just love those clogs, I made several pairs and need to make some more. Although I probably should actually wear mine first. I need to make some for me out of Cascade that won’t felt lumpy like the kind I used for mine.
