and their “special” cousin.
I’m making mice for a cause these days. Our local humane society has a program where some volunteers bring a few cats down to the nearby Starbucks parking lot once a month, and hope to adopt them out, plus they occasionally sell little fund-raising cat-related things occasionally. We always stop by and say hi to them and the kitties when they’re there, and I may have mentioned that, a few weeks ago I asked if they’d like some felted mice to sell. They were thrilled at the offer. So, I’m using up some leftovers of Cascade 220 I had in my wool stash (hence the turquoise “cousin”). I found out that I can make three or four of them during a movie. This time, instead of an I-cord tail, I’m going to see how a crochet’d chain tail felts. If it’s skinnier than the I-cord I think that will be better. Much more fun to play with if you’re a kitty – I’m thinkin’. Here’s the pattern I’m using currently (my favorite so far): Felted Catnip Mice.

That is so funny, my sister Kathy just made 3 felted mice as well.
