Weekend Progress
Lots of fiber fumbling this weekend. Scoured fleece, then carded into small bats which I blended with some angora bunny fur I’ve been gifted by a friend. The car knitting (socks) got some quality time this weekend too. I’m almost halfway done with sock #2 for SSF, and the ladybug hat is in it’s 4th incarnation and seems to be on gauge and progressing finally. I’m using the same needles as before, but knitting it mostly continental. My gauge is a lot looser with that style of knitting, and I love an opportunity to use it. I’m actually knitting it 2-handed, but mostly continental and it seems to be doing the trick. This is my first real stranded project and there are, at times, 3 colors to deal with, so I’m not sure how smooth it’s going to end up. It is, however, adorable making ladybugs, and I find it difficult to put down. Hopefully my enthusiasm will last through making the sweater for my new grandson (due this June.)AND hopefully - it will end up big enough to fit him when it’s cooler weather because he likely won’t be needing any sweaters in June! After that, I want to pick out a couple of things to make the girls.
Colts won! lots of fibery goodness - it was a good weekend.

Can’t wait to see the ladybug sweater. I find stranded work so addicting because I want to see what it’s going to look like.
