Yarn sale

I’m wondering if it means something significant if, when you’re driving by a sign that says “Yard Sale,” you see the words “Yarn Sale.” (I know you can’t see the words here, too much sun on the faded sign, but take my word for it, that’s what it said.) Saturdays are big yard sale days in my neck of the woods. I found myself absentmindedly reading the little signs people posted as we were out and about this morning, and it dawned on me that I had thought one of them said “Yarn” and my heart did a little jumpy thing. I bet that would draw as many knitters as the ones that say “TOOLS” draw all the tool-hunting-yard-salers. This particular Yard Sale was an old gent who, back in his younger days, would lead hunting trips back into the woods. He had some black powder rifles, a saddle and a bunch of other hunting parephernalia available for the mountain folk to pick thru. No yarn in sight.
