This funny looking little thing is a little pot-scrubber that I “invented.” I knit it from leftover cotton yarn. It is three squares with y/o’s placed so that I could thread an icord thru to keep it folded. Each square is separated with a garter stitch (knit) row. so that it folded easily, and the last square (yellow - see below) I left off the last row so that it came out just a tiny bit shorter and would fit better as it folded to the inside.

Leaving a tail of yarn made it a little easier to thread the I-cord thru the holes too.

A closer look at the row of knit bumps between each square.

All three Squares folded.

Three squares knitted, last square (yellow) one row shorter than first two.
I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Yarn and size 6 (US) needles.
The squares are about 3.5 inches square.
PATTERN (I think! I didn’t write it down right away….arrrgh!):

Row 1 Knit
Row 2 Purl
Row 3 Knit 2 y/o (k2tog k2) 3times k2

Row 9 Knit 2 y/o (k2tog k2) 3times k2
Row 10 Purl

Repeat rows 1-11, bind off.
Make 2 I-cords - or you could make one long one - weave thru holes.
