Springing Up Here!
Ok…so what’s up with Spring? Don’t get me wrong, it’s arguably my favorite Season, but I was just getting READY for winter. I hear I’ve got less than three weeks to get my mind shifted over to longer days, more activity and then…before I know it…the dreaded Daylight Savings Time will be upon me again. I do believe I blinked and winter passed us by. This is a planter I have some clippings in, and needed a spot for a few extra daffodil bulbs. So, they’re getting ready to open. I have a couple of rose bush pots that I put the rest in since we rent, and there’s really no extra spots around to plant flowers that don’t get herbicide on them in late spring. It’s greening up fast up here in the foothills. We haven’t had near the rain we had last year, but last year was really an anomaly. Our dwindling reservoirs were filled to the brim after all that precipitation last year, and this year it’s just been enough to fill them back up again, but they really didn’t have much time to dwindle like they had in the past. OK…guess I’ll start thinking Spring. After this next pair of wool socks, perhaps I’ll try my hand at that lacy shawl I’ve been procrastinating.
