Fiber fumbling and other fun things…
I’ve been meaning to get started on a blog for some time. So, here’s the first attempt. Winter here in the foothills has been a mild one this year, and while cold/wet weather projects have been calling, we’ve really had a LOT more outside weather than I’d care to admit. Guess it doesn’t stop me though!
I have apparently shifted my fiber interests this year to knitting. Scarves galore, I’m almost finished knitting my second pair of socks, made numerous dishcloths just because they’re such a fun take-along project, and quite frankly they’re as addicting as chocolate…or popcorn or something. I believe more of my family members and friends are about to become gifted with quite a few, since I’ve made a lot more than I can use, and there’s no end in sight because I keep finding such cool patterns to try! I have a beautiful shawl on the needles - although this pattern is challenging me, and it may not progress as fast as I’m hoping.
A couple things got sewn this year too…flannel jammies for my sweet granddaughters, a fleece cape for me since I don’t have a winter coat and really needed something to keep the rain off and the occasional cold out. Curtains for my mom…and a few Barbie things. Pictures you say? Soon. I’ve got photos of some of the projects, and will add them ASAP.
